ok, first. I admire your motivation. You want to keep hearth and home and heaven knows everyone could use a hand with it. That being said.
In America, it is not a sin to be rich. There is nothing inherently evil about making money. We all know this. So the sentiment strikes from a position of jealously. Remember, just because someone is a hypocrite does not mean they cant tell the truth.
Health care? the real answer is to not to have any. If everyone must take care of themselves then the price would come down to what people could afford. Yes, I realize that means some people would die and the rich would get the best healthcare. But it doesn't matter what system you have, people will die and the rich will have the best healthcare.
We already discussed abortion at length. I believe the real answer to abortion is to have very good sex education from a young age and offer birth control to any that want it. it is much cheaper than paying for babies OR abortions.
The war is the war. We are in it and we can not just leave the war any more than we can just leave a house once we've started paying for it. Freedom is not just what we enjoy here, it is what all people hope to enjoy. Why do we have so many people coming here if that wasn't the case? If you are not willing to fight for the country that gives you freedom, then why do you deserve it? When we were starting to become a country ourselves, we would never have been able to do it without the help of the French. that's right, the French. They sent troops and money to help a country that was just starting to get on it's feet. You can say what you want to about the expense of the war and the lives that it has cost, but the price of freedom is dear and ultimately the price is blood.
Suze Ormand can barely speak for herself much less the country. The only things that are in crisis is certain of our banks. Banks that have for the most part played fast and loose with their depositors money. Now the chickens have come home to roost and they should suffer the same consequence that anyone would suffer if they gambled and lost. The assets will be sold off and people that buy them will make money. Nothing will really happen to the average person unless they worked in a bank.
There are no quick answers that's true, but there are no obvious answers either. most problems actually require much more thought and planning than they appear to need on first blush.
The ONLY thing I know is that the more government there is in our lives, the worse it becomes. Any vote to expand ANY section of government entitlement is fundamentally wrong. Vote to shrink government. The less of them there is, the more ultimate freedom we have.
